The Prayer, a Language of the Heart - lectures by Savatie Bastovoi

The eminent Moldovan hieromonk Savatie Bastovoi comes to the UK to deliver a series of religious lectures called The Prayer, a Language of the Heart.
The project is a partnership between the Romanian Cultural Institute in London and the Nepsis Association, part of the Romanian Orthodox Mitropoly of Western and Meridional Europe.

Schedule
18 Sept: Lecture at the Orthodox Monastery St. Joan the Baptist in Essex;
19 Sept: Lecture at the Romanian Orthodox Church Sf. Gheorghe in London;
20 Sept, 7pm: Lecture at the Romanian Cultural Institute London;
21 Sept: Lecture at the Romanian Orthodox Church in Birmingham;
22 Sept: Lecture at the Romanian Orthodox Church in Oxford;
23 Sept: Lecture at the Romanian Orthodox Church in Glasgow.

Savatie (Stefan Bastovoi, b.1976, Chisinau) is a Moldovan poet and writer. His book of poems Promised Elephant was awarded in 1996 by the Writer's Union and the Soros Foundation in Republic of Moldova. In 1998 he converted to monachism and in 2002 was ordained hieromonk. Today he preaches at Noul Neamt Monastery, in Republic of Moldova.

(tales, 2000), Ortodoxia pentru postmodernist (with Nicolae Balota, Andrei Kuraev and Dumitru Crudu), Iepurii nu mor (novel, 2002), Nebunul (novel, 2006).
