Marian Sava exhibition

18 - 29 May 2009
Private view: 18 May, 7 - 9pm

Marian Sava's exhibition is part of a series of projects celebrating Europe Day in London, organized by the Romanian Embassy in partnership with the Romanian Cultural Institute in London. The exhibition includes 12 marble and granite sculptures.

The art of Marian Sava is of an almost mathematical concision, characterised by sobriety. His goal is to capture the moment, the movement, the ephemeral; to reveal the imponderable.
Lionel Scantéyé - writer and art critic

Marian Sava was born in 1950 in Galati, Romania. He graduated from the Royal Academy of Arts in Bruxelles, where currently lives and works. In 1999 the artist was awarded first prize at the Salon de Cannes and Grand Prize at the Salon d'Orgon, France. Sava's work has been exhibited in numerous countries across Europe such as: Belgium (Royal Arts Museum and European Parliament in Brussels); France (Salon SNBA, Carrousel du Louvre; Salon de Prestige, Cannes; St Paul de Vence, Versailles); Italy (International Biennale of Rome), Greece, Romania, Holland and Germany.
