On Christmas Eve, a bunch of about 15 lads begin wassailing through the village accompanied by a small, lively band of musicians. Standing in front of each house in turn, they sing carols and dance until the householder brings them in and bestows upon them food, drink and money. It takes them two or three days to cover thus the whole village. This photo was taken in Maguri, Cluj County on the morning of the third day, when even coffee had stoped working wonders.
