The Grand Finale of the Poetry pRO UK Tour will take place at the Romanian Cultural Institute on the 2nd of April 2009.

Poetry pRO is a translation collaboration project launched by poetry p f and Prof. Dr. Lidia Vianu of the University of Bucharest. The project has brought together some 60 contemporary British poets and a similar number of Romanian translators (MA & PhD students at the University). Their translations have already been published online and in international journals and paved the way for the creation of a bilingual anthology, with companion CD, of poetry and translation, both of which will be launched during the tour.

The tour will feature readings from over 20 of the poets translated and will include special guest translators from Bucharest, Lavinia Zainea and Elena Nistor. The translators and 5 of the poets will read at the Grand Finale.

The project is supported by the Romanian Cultural Institute in London.

The lecture will be followed at 7 pm by the Enescu Society April Concert performed by young emerging Romanian artists.
