Winner of the BBC Radio3 World Music Awards in 2006, the most exuberant of the Balkan brass bands will perform their fast and furious sound promoting their last album Queens & Kings.

Plucked from obscurity in Romania in 1996, eleven-piece gypsy brass orchestra Fanfare Ciocarlia have become a worldwide phenomenon. Their unique, mysterious and beautiful sound is full of wit, groove and ferocious technical ability. They won the 2006 BBC Radio 3 Planet Award for European Artists, and are set to be a hit at this year's Festival.
