Salut! RCI London's Online Romanian Classes are Back

We are delighted to announce that our popular language classes are back this autumn with five free modules addressing the needs of children and adults who want to start learning or improve their Romanian. The courses take place online, in a highly interactive and friendly environment, and are designed to help you achieve your language learning goals in a fun, relaxed way.

Studying Romanian through RCI London offers access to experienced teachers and welcomes you as part of a vibrant community where your interest in our culture is valued and nurtured.

The classes are divided according to age and previous experience.

The two modules for children are primarily aimed at Romanian or mixed families living in the UK and have a recommended age of 5-12 years old.

The Children Beginners’ module starts on 1 September and runs every Wednesday for 11 weeks at 16.30, with a duration of approximately 50 minutes. Class tutor: Mrs. Daniela Ciupală.

The Children Elementary module starts on 3 September and runs every Friday for 11 weeks at 16.30, with a duration of approximately 50 minutes. Class tutor: Mrs. Daniela Ciupală.

We also offer three modules for adults determined to make real progress by improving their vocabulary and learning new grammar points.

The Adults Beginners’ module starts on 30 August and runs every Monday for 11 weeks at 18.30, with a duration of approximately 60 minutes. Class tutor: Mrs. Daniela Ciupală.

The Adults Elementary module starts on 31 August and runs every Tuesday for 11 weeks at 18.30, with a duration of approximately 60 minutes. Class tutor: Mrs. Daniela Ciupală.

The Adults Intermediate module starts on 2 September and runs every Thursday for 11 weeks at 18.30, with a duration of approximately 60 minutes. Class tutor: Mr. Daniel Tomozeiu.

What we offer:

     - Weekly classes on Zoom and YouTube with an experienced and enthusiastic teacher. The participation in the Zoom class is limited to 20, but the sessions will be available live and recorded on YouTube, via a private link, for everyone signing up.
     - Personalised feedback from your teacher on your out-of-class assignments and homework.

What you will need:

     - Access to a computer, tablet or mobile phone with good internet connection.
     - Writing materials.

Please use this form to sign up. The deadline for applications for participation in the Zoom classes is 26 August 2021 or when the classes are full – we encourage you to complete the form as soon as possible. To follow the lessons on Youtube please submit the form until 3 September.

Daniela Ciupală has a Master of Education in Professional Practice and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education with Teaching Qualification from the University of Glasgow. In the past 10 years she has been working as a Language Tutor in the UK and Romania, including Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office and other governmental institutions. 

Daniel Tomozeiu launched in 2008 the first UK Romanian-English translation course for English native-speakers, at the University of Westminster. He has taught beginner, intermediate and advanced Romanian language courses at UCL and was a language consultant for the Romanian-English-Romanian online Oxford dictionary. He is currently the Romanian tutor for the University of Middlesex and Roehampton University and runs his own translation company.
