In Verse We Trust: An Evening of Poetry and Music

Award-winning Romanian-American author Andrei Codrescu, whose work is "cause for celebration" (Kay Boyle), is our special guest this springHe is joined by six accomplished Romanian poets of different generations and stylistic inclinations - Radu Andriescu, Dan Coman, Teodor Dună, Paul Gorban, Andra Rotaru and Cătălin Mihai Ștefan - for an uplifting evening of poetry and music, where readings of thought-provoking new verse are interspersed with live music performed by virtuoso pianist Mina Beldimănescu. The English translations of the Romanian poems will be provided by budding translator Andreea Scridon, assistant editor at Asymptote, and the event will be chaired by writer and literary reviewer Marius Chivu.

Followed by a wine reception.
