Focus on Romania at the Encounters Short Film & Animation Festival in Bristol

The guest of honour at the 21st edition of the Encounters festival is the Romanian cinema: celebrated filmmakers and award-winning short films will be the centrepiece of the country focus. 

We are happy to support the two Romanian directors in the official competition: Adrian Sitaru and Andrei CreČ›ulescu, who will present the UK premieres of their most recent films, 'Excursion' and 'Ramona'.

Encounters With Romanian Shorts - Part 1 (15)

Part 1 of a country focus produced in partnership with Arkadia Shortfest presents a selection of the most rewarded Romanian short films in recent history that have helped shape the ‘New Romanian Wave’.
