The Fourth Digital Revolution: Blessing or Curse?

14/11/2018 @ Romanian Cultural Institute, 1 Belgrave Square, SW1X8PH

We are on the cusp of the Fourth Digital Revolution that will impact the world in an unprecedented manner, reconfiguring our lives in ways that both excite and fill us with apprehension. With increased frequency and from multiple sources we are being exposed to “sound bites” of information that warn us against these forthcoming changes. Are we ready for them?

Adina Tarry, business coach and author of “Coaching with Careers and AI in Mind” (Routledge, 2018), joins a panel of distinguished professionals to address the increased sense of urgency to these future developments: Oscar Gallego - Global Head of Smart Comms and Security at Vodafone UK, Jenny Bailey – Marketing Executive at Agile Business Consortium and Alexandru Popa-Antohi – Senior Training & Development Specialist at Vodafone UK. Following an open debate and a Q&A session with the audience, the author will be signing copies of her book in the foyer.

Coaching with Careers and AI in Mind” captures the Zeitgeist of this new transitional age and the dilemmas and challenges that individuals face in the context of global change and uncertainty, the major shifts in jobs and professions and the ubiquitous impact that the digital revolution is having, by changing the world at an unprecedented pace and in unpredictable ways.

“Adina Tarry offers us a personal journey through careers coaching to provide a unique insight into both the coach and client experience through a reflective lens. She asks big questions about who we are and what we are becoming, drawing on her own experience as a coach in a growing VUCA-AI world.” - Jonathan Passmore, Director Henley Centre for Coaching and Behavioural Change

Adina Tarry embraced science and technology ever since her childhood years, when she was reading short science fiction stories instead of fairy tales. She lived and worked internationally (Paris, London, Sydney, New York, Bucharest) with blue chip corporations (IBM, Alcatel, Johnson & Johnson, Bristol Myers Squibb, Jacques Vert) in manufacturing, supply chain, international trade, audit, operations and quality management, in the innovative environments of information technology, communications, pharmaceutical and fashion industries. In the past years, Adina dedicated her time to the development of “people in business”, working as an organisational consultant, business psychologist and professional coach. In her work she combines business savvy, science and technology, cross cultural competences and psychology.
