The highly acclaimed, award-winning film 4 Months, 3 Weeks & 2 Days, by Romanian director Cristian Mungiu, will be released in UK cinemas from 4 January. A platform release at both the Curzon Mayfair & the Renoir cinema will take place on 4 January and be followed by a nationwide release from 11 January 2008.

4 Months, 3 Weeks & 2 Days ( 113 minutes/, Romania 2007, Romanian with English subtitles) tells the story of one long day in the life of two female university students (Otilia, played by Anamaria Marina and Gabita, played by Laura Vasiliu), who are trying to obtain an illegal abortion during the final years of Nicolae Ceausescu's regime in 1987….
